CANINES VICTORY AGAINST THE SKYHAWKS

YAKIMA, WA — The Yakima Canines won their first game against the Wenatchee Skyhawks with a final score of 40-0 in American West Football Conference action Saturday night.

The Canines, who have had a rough season start, are the first team in the league to shutout a team completely.  The Skyhawks, close a few times to scoring a touchdown, gave it a valiant try but were held off by the Canines defense; keeping their score at zero.

Yakima (1-7) will host the Oregon High Desert Storm on Friday July 30th.
